Gleniffer  is a 4 Star B& B offering accommodation in the picturesque town of Stonehaven, 15 miles south of Aberdeen.

We are on the main road from the centre of Stonehaven to the Railway Station. It is approximately 500 metres from the town centre and only 300 metres from the Station. The bed and breakfast is 10 minutes walk to the harbour and only 45 minutes walk to the very impressive Dunnottar Castle along the delightful,  newly refurbished coastal walk. Beside the beach is the leisure centre with indoor pool and recreation grounds with its tennis courts, bowling green, indoor bowling and putting green.and the River Cowie for fishing.

On the hill overlooking the bay is the golf course with spectacular views and dolphin watching.  Below the golf course is the Highland Boundary Fault Line where one of the oldest Scottish fossils ever found was discovered recently. At the southern end of Stonehaven Bay is the colourful harbour,  Mercat Cross and Tolbooth Museum.

From the harbour, fishing and bird watching trips are available to the RSPB bird sanctuary at Fowlsheugh.  In the surrounding countryside there are challenging mountain bike trails and pathways and forests for cycling or walking.

We are located on the Edinburgh/Aberdeen Sustrans cycle route and welcome cyclists and provide secure overnight storage for cycles. Off-road parking is available by request. We have two double rooms and one twin room. WiFi internet access is free.

The Whisky Trail, the Castle trail and the Victorian Heritage Trail all begin here.
